Enough is Enough: Ban the Koran
Geert Wilders opinion piece in the Volkskrant 8/8/07

The Koran is a facist book which incites violence,writes Geert Wilders. That is why this book, just like Mein Kampf, must be banned.
I have been proclaiming this for years: A moderate Islam does not exist. For those who don’t want to believe me: read the speech which the Italian writer Oriana Fallaci who alas, died last year held in New York on November 28th 2007 when she received a prize for her heroic resistance to Islamo facism and her struggle for freedom:
“A moderate Islam does not exist. It does not exist because there is no difference between Good Islam and Bad Islam. There is Islam and that it the end of it. Islam is the Koran, and nothing other than the Koran. And the Koran is the Mein Kampf of a religion that desires to eliminate others- non –Muslims-who are called infidel dogs, and inferior creatures. Read the Koran, that Mein Kampf, yet again. Ehsan Jami is one such infidel dog who had the courage to call the Prophet Mohammed a criminal and for referring to some of the strictures of the Koran as backwards and who got it into his head to stand up for other apostate dogs and even organized a committee for them. Allah finds that the death penalty is warranted for apostasy. Last Saturday that was almost a reality: the infidel Jami was beaten bloody by two Morrocans and one Somalian.

Enough is enough. Let’s stop with the politically correct spin and hype. It is good that Jami now has protection and it is too bad it did not happen sooner, but that does not solve the core of the problem. The core of the problem is fascistic Islam, the sick ideology of Allah and Mohammed as it is set out in the Islamic Mein Kampf: the Koran. The texts in the Koran leave little to the imagination.
In various Sura’s Muslims are called upon to oppress, persecute, or kill Jews, Christians and others, believers and non –believers and to beat women and to rape and to use violence to implement a worldwide Islamist state. Numerous other Sura’s are used by Muslims to incite to death and destruction.
Ban that wretched book like Mein Kampf is banned!
In doing so send a signal to Jami’s attackers and other Islamist that the Koran never ever can be allowed to be used as an inspiration for violence. I am ashamed of the Dutch politicians. Their naïve and pathological striving for a utopian moderate Islam which will only bring our country hell and damnation. I am ashamed of the people inside and outside the Lower House who refuse to stop the Islamic invasion of Holland. I am ashamed for Dutch politicians who day in and day out accept the over representation of foreigners in illegality and criminality and have no answer for it.
The Hague is full of cowardly members.Fearful people who are born cowards and will die as cowards. They find and promote the idea tha the Dutch culture is has its foundation in Jewish-Christian- Islamic –tradition. They award a general pardon to liars and criminals.

Those who talk to the representatives of the terrorist group Hamas. Those who work for the dictatorial Morrocan king.

I have had enough of Islam in Holland: Not one more Muslim immigrant should be let in. I have had enough of the reverence for Allah and Mohammed in the Netherlands: There should not be even one more mosque. I have had enough of the Koran in the Netherlands. Ban that wretched book.

Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders, whose controversial film Fitna finally hit the web yesterday, has made himself even more unpopular - it appears he forgot to secure copyright on footage used in the movie.
Danish newspaper cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, whose depiction of the Prophet Mohammed with a bomb in his turban sparked violent protests in 2006, complained on Dutch TV that Wilders used his work without permission, “so it is simply a case of violation of copyright rules”.
Earlier this month Westergaard defended Wilders and argued that the Dutch MP should show his film despite government warnings. On behalf of Westergaard, the Danish Union of Journalists says it will now sue Wilders for copyright infringement.
Also, Dutch director Rob Muntz was also surprised to see a clip of an interview he conducted with Theo van Gogh, the Dutch filmmaker who was stabbed and shot dead in Amsterdam. Muntz says he never gave permission, and will seek legal advice too.
Wilders also mistakenly used a photo of Dutch-Moroccan rapper Salah Edin instead of Mohammed Bouyeri, Theo van Gogh’s murderer. Edin, perhaps unsurprisingly, is also suing.
UK video sharing site LiveLeak said it received several targetted hacking attacks when it hosted the film yesterday. Since then Fitna appeared on many mirror sites such as Cripsbybarbecue.com and Parmalink.be.
Dutch authorities reported a calm night after the movie was launched. Dutch government felt that the anti-Islam film is much less provocative than expected, altough Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende said he rejected Wilders’ views. Wilders says he will tour the Netherlands and start a debate. ®

A website that a Dutch right-wing politician was planning to use to release a film expected to be fiercely critical of Islam has been suspended.
The US hosting service, Network Solutions, said it was investigating complaints that it may have breached guidelines on hate language.
Dutch politician Geert Wilders says the 15-minute film describes Islam as “the enemy of freedom”.
The planned release has sparked angry protests in many Muslim countries.
The Dutch government has disassociated itself from Mr Wilders’ views, but there are fears the film will spark protests similar to those that followed the publication in Denmark two years ago of cartoons seen as offensive to Muslims.
The film has already been condemned by several Muslim countries, including Iran and Pakistan.
Hate messages
Mr Wilders’ film is entitled Fitna, an Arabic word used to describe strife or discord, usually religious.
Mr Wilders wrote a commentary in a Dutch newspaper on Saturday.
“The film is not so much about Muslims as about the Koran and Islam. The Islamic ideology has as its utmost goal the destruction of what is most dear to us, our freedom,” he wrote in De Volkskrant.

“Fitna is the last warning for the West. The fight for freedom has only just begun,” he said.
He had been using Network Solutions to promote the film.
But on Sunday, Network Solutions said it had received a number of complaints that were under investigation.
It said the site was suspended until it was established whether the content of the site violated Network Solutions’ terms of acceptable use.
They include “material that is obscene, defamatory, libellous, unlawful, harassing, abusive… hate propaganda” and “profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature”.
Mr Wilders has had police protection since Dutch director Theo van Gogh was killed by a radical Islamist in 2004.
Dutch right-wing politician Geert Wilders has posted a controversial film critical of Islam’s holy book, the Koran, on the internet.
The opening scenes show a copy of the Koran, followed by footage of the attacks on the US on 11 September 2001.
The 17-minute film was posted on video-sharing website LiveLeak.
Its planned release had sparked angry protests in Muslim countries. Dutch PM Jan Peter Balkenende said the film wrongly equated Islam with violence.
“We believe it serves no purpose other than to offend,” he said in a statement.
“But feeling offended must never be used as an excuse for aggression and threats.”
The film is called “Fitna”, a Koranic term sometimes translated as “strife”.
Dutch broadcasters have declined to show the production by 44-year-old Freedom Party (PVV) leader Mr Wilders, who lives under police protection because of earlier death threats.
‘Spiteful’
Graphic images from the bomb attacks on London in July 2005 and Madrid in March 2004 are shown.

Pictures of a woman being stoned, scenes from a beheading and images of the Dutch director Theo van Gogh, who was murdered by a radical Islamist in 2004, are also included.And pictures appearing to show Muslim demonstrators holding up placards saying “God bless Hitler” and “Freedom go to hell” also feature.
The film shows a young girl in a headscarf making derogatory comments about Jewish people.
It also displays a graph showing how the number of Muslims in the Netherlands and Europe has grown.
The film ends with someone turning pages of a Koran, followed by a tearing sound.
A text that appears on the screen says: “The sound you heard was from a page (being torn from a) phone book.
“It is not up to me, but up to the Muslims themselves to tear the spiteful verses from the Koran.”
The film concludes: “Stop Islamisation. Defend our freedom.”
Two years ago the publication in Denmark of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad sparked protests across the Muslim world.
But Brahim Bourzik, a spokesman for a Dutch Moroccan group, told Reuters news agency he did not believe Mr Wilders’ film would spark fury from Muslims in Holland.
“It is not a film, it is propaganda,” he said. “All the elements have been seen before, there is nothing new in it.”
The UK-based website which allowed the film to be posted online defended its decision on Thursday.
“LiveLeak.com has a strict stance on remaining unbiased and allowing freedom of speech so far as the law and our rules allow,” it said in a statement posted online.
